“Amazon seller services” is a category that covers four very different jobs: listing optimization (SEO), advertising management (PPC), full-service brand management, and consulting. Picking the wrong one is expensive. A PPC agency won’t fix a poorly indexed listing, and an SEO consultant won’t move your ACoS. This page maps what each service does, what it should cost, and how our vetted partner directory works.

The four Amazon seller service categories
Most sellers arrive here thinking they need “an agency.” What they actually need is one of four things, and sometimes two of them stacked.
Listing optimization (Amazon SEO). Rewrites your title, bullets, description, backend search terms, and A+ content so the listing ranks for the right queries and converts the traffic it gets. Usually project-based, not retainer. Good fit when your listings are old, you’re launching new SKUs, or your click-through rate is fine but conversion is soft. See Amazon SEO consultant for depth.
PPC management. Builds and runs your Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display campaigns. Targets a specific ACoS or TACoS. Fit when you’re spending over $3k/month on ads and the dashboard scares you. Our breakdown of the best Amazon PPC agencies goes deeper on pricing models.
Full-service brand management. One contract covers SEO, PPC, creative, inventory forecasting, customer service, sometimes Vendor Central negotiation. Fit when you’re doing $100k+/month and tired of coordinating three vendors. Expensive but the coordination saves real hours.
Consulting. Hourly or retainer advisory. No one touches your account. They audit, strategize, unstick one problem. Fit when you have an in-house team that needs a second opinion, or a specific issue (a suspension, a launch, a pricing war).
How much should Amazon services cost in 2026?
Pricing benchmarks pulled from public agency rate cards and proposal samples. Your mileage varies by SKU count, category competitiveness, and whether you’re private label or reseller.
| Service | Pricing model | Typical range | Ideal seller stage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Listing SEO | Per SKU, one-time | $500 to $3,000 | $10k to $500k/mo |
| PPC management | Monthly retainer or % of spend | $1,500 to $5,000/mo, or 10 to 20% | $30k+/mo with $3k+ ad spend |
| Full-service | Monthly retainer | $3,500 to $15,000/mo | $100k+/mo |
| Consulting | Hourly or project | $150 to $400/hr | Any stage, specific problems |
Two flags. Anyone charging a percentage of total revenue (not ad spend) for PPC is unusual. Anyone quoting under $500 per SKU for a listing rewrite is probably using templates.
Should you hire an agency, a consultant, or use software?
A rough decision framework based on where you are.
Under $20k/month, fewer than 10 SKUs. Software plus a freelancer. An agency retainer will eat your margin. Use a SaaS for keyword research and listing drafts, hire a freelance copywriter for the final polish.
$20k to $100k/month. This is the hybrid zone. Run your own listings with software, outsource PPC to a boutique agency or specialist freelancer. You’re big enough that paid traffic mistakes cost real money, small enough that full-service is overkill.
$100k to $1M/month. Full-service starts making sense, or you stack a dedicated PPC agency with an in-house listing manager. At this stage the coordination cost of multiple vendors is a real line item.
$1M+/month. You’re either running an in-house team with consultants on call, or you’re with a senior agency that treats you as a top-ten client. Generic full-service retainers won’t cut it.
The TFSD framework is the methodology we teach sellers and partners for structuring keyword research regardless of which option you pick.

How we vet partners
Most directories, including Amazon’s official directory, are open marketplaces. Anyone with a business email can list. Ours isn’t.
Every partner in the keywords.am directory meets four criteria:
- Minimum 3 years actively managing Amazon accounts. Not “digital marketing since 2015” with Amazon bolted on last quarter.
- Verified client portfolio. We check at least two current client references before listing.
- 48-hour response SLA. Partners who ghost inquiries get delisted. We track it.
- Category specialization disclosed. An agency that’s great at supplements isn’t automatically great at apparel. Partners declare their strongest categories so you can match.
We don’t take kickbacks from partners for placement. Listings are ordered by response rate and client retention data, not who paid most.
The hybrid play most sellers miss
The highest-leverage setup for sellers between $30k and $500k/month isn’t “agency or software.” It’s both. Use keywords.am (or a comparable SaaS) for keyword research, rank tracking, and listing drafts. Hire a partner for execution: PPC management, creative, the ongoing optimization work that burns hours. You keep strategic control, they handle the grind.
That’s why this page funnels to partners instead of pitching you a subscription. If you needed the software, you’d already be in the signup flow.
